Scott Walker was elected the 45th Governor of the State of Wisconsin on November 2, 2010. Governor Walker became the only governor in American history to survive a recall election on June 5, 2012. While in High School he was selected as one of two Wisconsin boys to attend a two-week leadership and government training meeting in D.C. There he met President Ronald Reagan who he says inspired him and became his role model. He attended Marquette University and subsequently he was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1993. He was reelected for four consecutive terms. He then ran and was elected as executive of Milwaukee County serving two terms until his election to the Governor's seat in 2010.
